Affiliate disclosure

Chonk & Noodle earns money from affiliate links. When you click certain links on this site and then buy something, the retailer pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise. It does not cost you anything.

Where the links are

Affiliate links appear on the As seen in the episodes page and in both buyer's guides. Any page carrying them shows the disclosure bar at the top of the screen, before you scroll. Links to our own pages, to YouTube, and to anything else are ordinary links and earn us nothing.

Who pays us

We have applied to several pet retail and pet brand affiliate programmes and are waiting to hear back. Each one will be named here as it is approved. Right now no link on this site earns us anything, because none of them are live yet.

Rules we hold ourselves to

• A product gets into an episode because it is funny, not because it pays. If it cannot earn a scene, it does not go in the show. Nobody has ever paid us to write a product into a script, and if that ever changes the episode will say so on screen.
• We do not accept payment for a positive review. A commission is paid on a sale regardless of what we said about the thing, and we say the annoying parts out loud.
• We only link to things we would tell a friend to buy. Where we have not used something long enough to have a real opinion, the page says so rather than padding it out.
• Rankings are not for sale. The order of any list on this site has nothing to do with what each programme pays.

If a company sends us something

If a product is sent to us free, or lent for review, the page and the episode both say so plainly. Receiving something free does not buy a good review, and we will say if we did not like it.

Why you are reading this

United States FTC guidance requires anyone with a financial relationship to a product to disclose it clearly and near the recommendation, in a place you cannot miss. That is what the bar at the top of every page is for. We would rather over-explain it than have you find out later.
